Fussball-Performance.de is a platform for coaches and clubs in grassroots football that brings organisation and sporting development together in one place. Fixtures, availability, squad, line-up, player rating, team kitty and club add-on — over thirty modules, of which each team sees only the ones it needs. Prices start at €5 per team per month. Servers and database are located in Frankfurt am Main, there is no tracking and no advertising. The most common questions about this are below.
Answers
Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know: about pricing, data protection, technology and everyday life with the platform.
General
Who is Fußball-Performance.de for?
The platform is built for coaches, assistant coaches and team staff in grassroots football — with a focus on youth football, but it works in every age group up to the seniors. Players and parents get their own logins with a restricted view: parents see only their own child, players only themselves.
Can I try the app for free?
Yes, for three weeks. You order online, pay nothing today and can cancel free of charge at any time until the trial ends. If you would rather be set up personally, write to us through the contact form.
Can one platform really replace several apps?
One app instead of five. Squad management, match reports, tactics, communication and the team kitty — we replace all of that with a single platform, at a fraction of the cost and with clear roles and permissions instead of chat groups.
How many teams can I manage?
As many as you like. Each team has its own plan with an unlimited number of players, coaches and parent logins — the price applies per team, not per person. Clubs with several teams are best off contacting us directly; from ten teams there is a volume discount.
Pricing & payment
Why is the app so cheap?
Because we did not build it to make money. We are coaches and developed the app for ourselves. The €5 per month covers servers, domain and running costs — not a cent more. There is no investor, no exit plan and no advertising.
How can I cancel?
Without logging in, via “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of the page. During the trial, the contract ends with the trial and nothing is charged. In the first year it ends at the end of the first twelve months, after that at the end of the current billing month. If you wish, we will then delete all data completely — what remains is the team statistics without any link to individuals.
How does the trial work?
Your team is set up straight after you order. It costs nothing for 21 days. We remind you by email before the trial ends.
When is payment taken?
At the end of the trial, the amount for the first twelve months: €60 for Pro, €120 for Elite. After that, €5 or €10 per month.
Which payment methods are there?
Credit card and SEPA direct debit.
Can I order several teams?
Yes. Order each team separately with the same email address and they will all end up in your account.
We are a club with several teams. What should we do?
Just get in touch. We will group your teams under your club.
Data protection & GDPR
Who is responsible for data protection on your side?
We have appointed an external data protection officer: Volker Kruse of radtkePERSONAL GmbH in Lüneburg. He has reviewed our legal texts and processing, and is available to coaches, clubs and parents for data protection questions independently of us — precisely because children's data is processed here: [email protected], tel. +49 4131 9279991.
How is my players' data protected?
Role-based: coaches see their team, parents only their own child, players only themselves. In addition: no third-party tracking, no advertising, encrypted transmission. Servers and database are located in Frankfurt am Main. Individual services — push notifications, DDoS protection, email delivery — also process data outside the EU; which ones is set out in section 7 of the privacy policy (in German).
Why not just use a WhatsApp group?
General messenger groups are not tailored to everyday club life: roles and access rights can hardly be graded, information easily gets lost in the chat, and as a rule all participants see everything. Especially with minors, a platform with clearly separated areas for coaches, players and parents is in our view the cleaner solution. The platform's communication function fully replaces the team group, with the same roles and access rules as everywhere else.
Do I need special consent for minors?
Yes. For players under 16, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required (Art. 8 GDPR). The platform guides parents through this step: they give their consent directly in the parent module and can see at any time which data is stored about their child. Without consent, the player profile remains locked.
Technology & access
Which devices are supported?
All of them. There is a native app for iPhone and Android, and the platform also runs in any modern browser — on smartphone, tablet and desktop, on iOS and Android. If you want it on your home screen, you add it straight from the browser.
Is the app available on the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. For the iPhone on the App Store, for Android on Google Play. You log in with the team code and the same login details as in the browser — here is how.
Does the app also work offline?
Partly. Recently loaded content such as the player list and line-up remains available without a connection, and the app shows which version of the data is currently being displayed. Live ticker, availability replies and communication need an internet connection — these functions depend on everyone seeing the same data.
Can a player be in two teams of our club?
Yes. On the player page, the coach adds the player to the second team via “Also in another team's squad”. The player keeps their login and can switch between both teams in the app. Shirt number, position and statistics are kept separately for each team. If someone accidentally creates the same player a second time, the app points this out and can merge the two records.
Can I import my data from other apps?
For the squad there is a CSV import: export the player list from Excel or another app, transfer it into our template, upload it. The rest — fixtures, ratings, history — cannot be taken over automatically. If you have questions about migration, we help personally, just write to us.
Is there an English version?
Yes. This website is available in English – use the DE/EN switch in the menu.
When do updates take place, and can there be outages?
We usually roll out updates on Fridays between 4 pm and 9 pm. Short interruptions of a few minutes may occur during this window. The exception is security-related updates: we roll those out immediately, even outside the maintenance window — protecting data takes priority over predictability.
What's new?
v2.93.0 — Order online Oct 2026
Order online: Pro and Elite can now be ordered directly on the website, with a three-week free trial.
v2.87.0 — The app is now on Google Play too Oct 2026
Android app: Fussball Performance is now also available on Google Play — in addition to the App Store. Free and included in the team price.
Logging in: Download the app, enter the team code, log in with the same email address and password as in the browser. Instructions for coaches, players and parents.
v2.86.0 — More protection for your data & the app in English Oct 2026
Data protection and security: We have thoroughly reviewed the platform and strengthened it further in many places. Logging out and changing your password now apply to all devices, and photos are stored without location and camera data.
English: Push notifications and messages arrive in the language set in the app. The app itself gets English with the app update in October 2026.
Chat preview: With the app update you can choose whether the message text appears on the lock screen or just “New message”.
v2.83.0 — The app is on the App Store Sep 2026
iPhone app: Fussball Performance is now available as its own app on the App Store, free and included in the team price. The Android version will follow shortly on Google Play.
Logging in: Download the app, enter the team code, log in with the same email address and password as in the browser. Instructions for coaches, players and parents.
For coaches: Under Settings → Native app you will find your team code, the QR code for the App Store and a ready-made message for the chat group.
v2.73.0 — One person, one login & pitch and changing-room allocation Sep 2026
One login per person: If someone already has a login at the club — for example as a coach of another team — they are now recognised when they are newly added as a player or parent, and can be linked to their existing login instead of getting a second one. Applies to web and app, for coaches, parents and players.
Role per team: Which area is shown — coach, player or parent — now depends on the role in the currently active team rather than on a club-wide role. Important for everyone with different roles in different teams.
Pitch and changing-room allocation for league and cup matches (club add-on): The club assigns each home match a pitch and, optionally, a changing room — visible to coaches and players in the match, in the new changing-room schedule and in the app. Details on the club add-on page.
Family view in the calendar: Parents with children in several teams now see a team switcher right in the header as well as a family view that detects fixture clashes between the teams.
Fine date in the team kitty: Fines now get their own incident date instead of only showing the time of booking.
v2.69.0 — Tiered membership fees Sep 2026
Different monthly fees per player: Fee categories can now be created freely and assigned to individual players — for example a reduced fee for school pupils. Without an assignment, the team's previous standard fee still applies.
Selectable payment interval: In addition to monthly, you can now also set half-yearly or yearly. The periods are displayed grouped accordingly, while storage is still per month — nothing changes in existing data.
Improved: A player's fee category is now reset automatically when they change team or leave, and the parent and player views group the payment periods in the same way as the coach view.
v2.67.0 — Changing coaches without deleting Sep 2026
Change roles directly: In “Users & roles” a role can now be changed with a selection field — an assistant coach becomes head coach with one click, without a detour via the app.
Leave a team instead of being deleted: A new button “Remove from team” lets a person leave the team while their account and history are kept. Optionally, a club role can be assigned at the same time (coordinator, groundskeeper, board …) — the login then stays active and the person moves to the club area. People who have left appear in the list with the date and can be re-admitted with one click.
Ratings stay historically correct: Each rating now remembers the coach's role at the time of rating, so that a later promotion or departure does not retroactively shift the player averages of past seasons.
Builds on the archive function from v2.38.0, which remains available if an account is to be shut down completely.
v2.63.0 — Squad release Aug 2026
Squad visible only after announcement: Players and parents now consistently see the squad and line-up for a match only after the coach has released them with “Announce squad” — in web and app alike.
Consistent up to 10 minutes before kick-off: Starting eleven and bench only appear shortly before the match begins.
The release cannot be withdrawn; once announced, it stays visible.
v2.59.0 — One player, two teams Aug 2026
One login for two squads: A player can now officially be listed in two teams of the same club, with a single login. Shirt number, position and statistics are kept separately for each team. Not to be confused with dual registration, which still applies to a different club.
Warning about duplicates: When a player is added, the app now checks club-wide whether the name already exists in another team and asks — same person or coincidentally the same name. Applies to web, app and Excel import.
Clean-up function “Check duplicate players”: Finds players who have already been created twice in the club — including older cases — and merges them on request, without losing shirt number, position, attendance records or parent logins.
Players in two teams can switch between them in web and app.
v2.56.0 — Cancellation reasons as a selection & proof of consent Aug 2026
Cancellation reasons are selected instead of typed: When cancelling, there is now a fixed list to choose from (Unavailable, School/work, Family, Holiday, Other) — in web and app, for players, parents and coaches. Free-text fields, in which health information could accidentally end up, have been removed.
New: proof of consent per team. Under Data protection, a new page shows for each team the squad, stored dates of birth and the consent status — just numbers, no names. Coaches also see in the squad which players are still missing a date of birth.
Backup moved: The off-site backup is no longer on a private cloud account but with a provider under a data processing agreement (Cloudflare R2, EU storage region) — still encrypted before upload.
v2.55.0 — Player photos: your own crop & only for your own team Aug 2026
Freely selectable crop: When uploading a player photo, the app suggests a square crop itself, which can be adjusted by moving and zooming — at any time, including afterwards.
Full picture in the profile: In addition to the crop, the complete photo is now visible in the player profile — for coaches, the player themselves and parents in the child view, and from this version also in the native app.
Only accessible to your own team: Player photos are now consistently tied to membership of the respective team, just as the gallery and team photos already were.
v2.50.0 — Club add-on: pitch schedule with sub-areas Aug 2026
New schedule overview: All pitches on a shared timeline, switchable between day, week and month, filterable by pitch and team.
Sub-areas: A pitch can be divided into halves or quarters, with freely chosen names — a booking can cover several adjacent sub-areas together without getting in the way of a booking on the other half.
Freely configurable approval chains: Who has to approve a booking can now be set per pitch and type of booking, instead of being fixed in the program — right down to “approved immediately” without a chain.
Provisional bookings: Entries such as “if pitch conditions are poor” appear hatched in the schedule, but do not occupy anything and trigger no notification until the groundskeeper activates them.
v2.37.0 — Email delivery from Germany Aug 2026
New email provider: Welcome messages, confirmation links and reminders now go through checkdomain GmbH in Lübeck — data centres exclusively in Germany, with a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. Previously, delivery ran through a private Google account, for which such an agreement is not possible at all.
The sender is now [email protected] instead of a private address — also as the reply address and in the legal notice. The domain is secured with SPF, DKIM and DMARC so that nobody can send emails in our name.
No email gets lost silently any more: Every delivery attempt is logged. If a welcome or consent email fails, we see it — previously this was only visible in the server console. The log contains recipient addresses and is therefore deleted automatically after 30 days, or immediately on request.
v2.36.0 — No more health data & genuine deletion Aug 2026
The platform no longer processes health data. The attendance statuses “Ill” and “Injured” have been merged into a neutral status “Signed off”, and the injury module is now called “Absences” and records only a period — without a reason. Neither the interface nor the database, interfaces or notifications contain any reference to illness or injury any more.
Why: Our external data protection officer rightly pointed out that even the bare statement “injured from–to” without any diagnostic detail is health data under Art. 9 GDPR — it reveals the state of health. Instead of obtaining consent for it, we preferred to make the field completely neutral.
No effect on ratings: “Ill” and “Injured” had the same factor (0.8) in the participation calculation anyway. The merger does not change a single calculated rating — not even retroactively. In the settings there is now one control instead of two: “Factor: Signed off”. If you had set the two differently, the higher value applies from now on.
Deletion now really deletes: Until now, a deletion request replaced the name with initials (“P.M.”) and kept the personal statistics. That was not deletion — initials plus shirt number plus season are easily traced back in a youth team. Now the player profile, including ratings, attendance records and individual statistics, is removed completely. The team and season statistics remain correct: results and total goals belong to the match, not the player.
Attendance list: The abbreviations “K” and “V” become a single abbreviation “M”. Excel files with the old abbreviations can still be imported.
v2.35.0 — External data protection officer & reviewed legal texts Aug 2026
External data protection officer appointed: Volker Kruse of radtkePERSONAL GmbH supports the platform as external data protection officer. Clubs, coaches and parents can contact him directly with data protection questions.
Legal texts externally reviewed: Legal notice, privacy policy, terms and the data processing agreement have been fully reviewed — including an independent second review. We are incorporating the results step by step.
Already implemented: The outdated reference to the EU dispute resolution platform has been removed (it was discontinued in July 2025). The right to object under Art. 21 GDPR now appears in its own, highlighted paragraph. The competent supervisory authority is named. The clause on changes to the terms has been narrowed: anything affecting price or scope of services will in future require your explicit consent.
Correction: On six pages, the legal notice, privacy policy and terms had been embedded as an outdated copy — in some places still showing the version of the terms from May 2026. All pages now show the same current text, and the data processing agreement can be reached everywhere.
v2.27.0 — Club add-on (beta) Aug 2026
New add-on module for clubs: Manage pitches, bookings, fixture changes, friendlies and the cafeteria duty rota centrally — with multi-stage, traceable approval processes instead of Excel and WhatsApp. Details on the club add-on page.
Directly linked to the coach app: When a coach creates a friendly, the approval chain starts automatically with the responsible groundskeeper and coordinator — including an immediate push notification.
Pitch closure with push: Board, coordinators, administrator and now also the groundskeeper can report a pitch closure — all affected teams are informed immediately by push instead of phone chains.
Beta phase: €15 per month per club including VAT, 4 weeks free trial, no automatic online checkout — personal set-up on request via the club add-on page.
v2.26.0 — Attendance list for the club Aug 2026
Attendance list as a PDF: Coaches and assistant coaches can now generate an attendance list as a PDF that documents who ran a training session and which players attended — handy as proof for the club, e.g. for reconciling with the club members.
Two variants: Directly on the training detail page for a single session, or on the export page as a period report for a month, quarter or year — with a compact overview per session and a summary of how often each player attended.
Privacy-friendly: Deliberately without the DFB player pass number — the name is enough for the club to match records, so no additional sensitive data field is needed.
v2.22.0 — Accountability & account deletion Aug 2026
Delete account & data: A new public page through which you or your child can request the deletion of stored data. Personal data (login, contact, health and device data) is deleted completely; match results (goals, assists, cards) are kept for the team statistics for reasons of fairness, but are anonymised in the process.
Privacy policy updated: A complete, up-to-date list of the service providers used, plus a new section on injury data and deletion.
Injury data simplified: Only the period of an injury is recorded now (comparable to holiday dates) — no type of injury, no body part, no description any more.
Addendum, August 2026: The original addition at this point — that this meant it was no longer health data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR — was wrong. Even without diagnostic detail, the statement “injured” reveals the state of health. With v2.36.0 we have therefore made the field completely neutral, see above.
v2.11.0 — Referral programme & launch offer Jun 2026
Referral programme: Every team receives a unique referral code. Recruit other teams and benefit from permanent discounts: Bronze (25% from 10 teams), Silver (50% from 20 teams), Gold (2 years of ELITE free from 50 teams). Your progress is visible in the dashboard.
Launch offer: The first 100 teams to take out a PRO subscription automatically receive the ELITE package, permanently at the PRO price. On the pricing page you can see live how many places are still available.
Contact form: New optional field for referral codes — simply enter it when you get in touch.
v2.9.1 — Meeting time Jun 2026
Meeting time: In the settings, the coach determines how many minutes before training or a match the players should be at the venue (default: 15 min. training / 60 min. match). The calculated meeting time is shown automatically on all dashboards (coach, player, parent) and in the calendar — so everyone knows immediately when they need to be there.
v2.9 — Holiday training & preparation phases Jun 2026
Holiday training: Coaches create preparation phases for summer or winter breaks — with tasks by category (endurance, strength, technique …), target value and time window. Tasks can be created for the whole team or individually for single players.
Player interaction: Players tick off their tasks directly in the app and document each session with a mandatory comment (e.g. “32 min, 5 km”). Repeated tasks (e.g. 3× running) are tracked individually and can be undone at any time.
Coach evaluation: Complete overview with completion rate per task (progress bar) and per player (green/yellow/red badge). The detail view shows all comments and completion dates.
Parent view: Parents see their child's training progress in real time — read-only, with progress bars and comments.
v2.8 — Dual registration, development timeline & statistics May 2026
Dual registration: A player can now play for two teams at the same time. The coach enters the team code of the second club — the system automatically creates the player at the second club and links the parent accounts. Ratings can be shared with each other via a toggle.
Development timeline: A new tab in the player detail shows the form curve across all seasons — aggregated monthly with average rating, training attendance rate, match appearances and goals per season.
Coach profile picture: Upload your own photo under Settings — it is shown in the header avatar.
Platform statistics: New statistics page for platform operators with live visitor tracking, usage analysis and business KPIs.
v2.7 — Tournament squads & tournament ratings May 2026
Tournament squads: A separate squad can be put together for each tournament and announced to the players by push.
Tournament rating: Complete rating per tournament — with the same categories as in league play. The tournament rating feeds into overall form and the form curve.
v2.6 — Eligibility rule & travel time preview May 2026
Eligibility rule: Automatic warning when a player has reached the maximum number of competitive matches for a club — particularly relevant with dual registration.
Travel time preview: For away matches, the distance and estimated travel time are shown automatically — so parents and carpools can plan better.
Injury log: Injury history per player with type, body part, expected return and progress.
v2.5 — Holiday period & player transfer Apr 2026
Holiday period: Players and parents enter holiday periods. During the holiday, the player is automatically excused from all training sessions and matches.
Player transfer: Players can request a transfer to another club using the team code. The coach of the new team confirms the move.
Player comparison: Compare two players side by side — strengths radar, form curve and statistics in an overlay.
v2.4 — Line-up editor & tactics Apr 2026
Drag-and-drop line-up editor: 7 formations (4-3-3, 4-4-2, 3-5-2 etc.), position players on the 3D football pitch, set the starting eleven and bench, save line-ups as a template.
Automatic publication: The line-up is published automatically to players and parents by push message 10 minutes before kick-off.
Polls & tasks: Coaches can create votes (shirt colour, dates) and assign tasks to players or parents.
v2.3 — Team kitty & training templates Mar 2026
Digital team kitty: Manage income, expenses, fines and monthly contributions. Automatic fines for unexcused absence. Clear balance display per player.
Training templates: Create recurring training sessions as a template and generate a whole week at once.
Automatic confirmation: When a training session is created, all players are automatically marked as available. Cancellations only with a mandatory reason and a 7-hour deadline.
v2.0 — Multi-team & club add-on Mar 2026
Multi-team: Manage several teams per club. Team switcher in the header, subdomain routing, feature gates per plan.
Two plans: Pro (€5) and Elite (€10) per team per month — with different scopes of functionality.
Squad import: Import players in one step using an Excel template.
v1.5 — Gallery, dark mode & home-screen install Feb 2026
Media gallery: Photos per player and as a team gallery — in Apple Finder style with zoom and full screen.
Dark/light mode: Switch between a dark and a light design with one click.
Home-screen install: The app can be installed straight onto the home screen — push notifications, offline mode, badge counter on the app icon.
Season archive: View and compare completed seasons with all statistics, ratings and match results.
v1.2 — Team chat & parent module Jan 2026
Team chat: A GDPR-compliant replacement for WhatsApp with three channels — coaches' chat (coaching team only), team chat (coaches + players) and everyone (incl. parents). Push notifications for new messages.
Parent module: A dashboard of their own for parents with a view of fixtures, availability and the development of their own child. Child tabs if there are several children.
Carpools: Parents can offer or look for lifts — per training session and match.
v1.0 — Basic version Dec 2025
Squad management: Digital player profiles with shirt number, position, status, photo and strengths radar.
Training planning: Create training sessions, request availability, document attendance.
Player rating: Rating system with freely configurable categories, form curves and player overlay comparison.
Live ticker: Real-time match score on the login page with an animated 3D football pitch and match clock.
